I had a client reach out to me a couple of months ago about the Pottery Barn Folsom End Tables. Her daughter wanted a set, but was going back and forth on the price. Since I’m constantly looking for ways to get Modern Farmhouse furniture for less, I couldn’t agree with her more! While a single Folsom End Table retails for $400 on Pottery Barn’s website, I created one for less than $100. Check out my free plans below to see how you can, too!

THE Folsom End Table PLANS

Dimensions
- 23.5″ Length x 14″ Width x 24.5″ Height
Material List
- 2- 2 x 8- stud length or 8 feet
- Wood glue
- 2.5″ drywall screws
- Stainable wood filler vs. premium wood filler
- 3/8th inch dowel plugs
- 3/8th inch dowel pins
Cut List

- Speed Square
- Pencil
- Safety Glasses
- Ear Protection
- Drill
- Miter Saw
- Table Saw
- Dowel Jig
- Rubber Mallet
INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1: Rip the boards to size
Using your table saw, rip all of your boards to size.
Step 2: Attach the panels together
Put the panels together using 3/8th inch dowel pins for the side, top, and bottom panels.
Step 3: Make appropriate miter cuts
Make miter cuts on both ends of the side, top, and bottom panels using your table saw.
Step 4: Make your cube
Screw the panels together using 2 1/2″ drywall screws. Make sure to use a countersink bit and cover the holes with dowel plugs when attached.
Step 5: Sand and add the finish
Lastly, sand your piece with 80 grit and 120 grit sandpaper and finish with paint or stain and 2 coats of polyurethane.
And there it is! A $100 Folsom side table sure to be the highlight of any room in your home. My client was looking for the natural pine look, but if you create this look yourself, you can finish it however you like! But with only 5 steps in the process and for less than $100, you can rest assured knowing that this look is achievable, and easy, on a budget!
